Baking soda has become increasingly popular since its many useful purposes have been uncovered. One of those is improving hair quality, making it shinier and free from the shampoo or conditioner build ups.
If you’d like to avoid the damaging ingredients of regular shampoo and other hair treatments, this recipe based on baking soda can help you achieve that.
You will make two mixtures that will substitute a shampoo. In a small bottle you can squeeze, mix ¼ of baking soda and ¾ of water. Apply it on wet hair and massage it all over your scalp. Let it set, up to 3 minutes and rinse your hair thoroughly with warm water. Then, apply a second mixture, this time from 1/5 apple vinegar and 4/5 of water, a few drops of lavender, rosemary or peppermint oil to mask the vinegary scent. Again rinse your hair thoroughly.
Breaking the habit of easily washing your hair because of the foam from everyday shampoos can be a daunting task. But if you persist, the results will surprise you.
